Who we are
This website is operated by Paige Dale trading as PD Events, a sole trader, of Gerald Ave, Chatham ME4 5TF. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Paige Dale trading as PD Events is the data controller for the information described on this page.
How to contact us about privacy
We don't publish an email address on this website. If you have a question about your information, or want to exercise any of the rights below, please call us on 07360 497607 or write to us at Gerald Ave, Chatham ME4 5TF.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly through our Custom Installations and Grab & Go enquiry forms, hosted for us by our booking-system provider, HighLevel. These forms ask for:
- Your name, mobile number and email address
- How you heard about us, and what you're celebrating
- Your event date (or, for Grab & Go, your preferred collection date)
- For Custom Installations, your event venue address and postcode
- Details of what you'd like us to create, in your own words
- For Grab & Go, which ready-made displays you're interested in
Each form also has an optional, unticked checkbox to agree to receive other communications from us. We only send you marketing communications if you tick this box yourself — it is never selected for you.
Every page also carries a chat widget, provided by the same booking-system provider, HighLevel. If you choose to open it and send us a message, it collects your name, phone number, email address and whatever you write, so that we can get back to you — we don't see or collect anything through it unless you voluntarily start a chat.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit to:
- Respond to your enquiry and discuss what you're looking for
- Prepare and send you a quote
- Deliver a booking you've confirmed with us, including arranging delivery, setup or collection
- Keep records relating to any booking, including for our own accounting obligations
- Send you other communications about our services, but only if you've ticked the relevant checkbox to agree to this
Our legal basis for using your information
- Contract — where you've asked us for a quote or booking, we process your information because it's necessary to take the steps you've asked for, and to perform any contract we go on to agree with you.
- Legitimate interests — where you've made a general enquiry, we process your information because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services, in a way that doesn't override your own rights.
- Consent — for any communications beyond replying to your enquiry or booking, we rely on the consent you give (or don't give) using the checkbox on our enquiry forms. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us using the details above.
Who we share your information with
Our enquiry forms and chat widget are built and hosted by HighLevel (also known as LeadConnector), who act as a data processor on our behalf — they store and route the information you submit so we can see and respond to it. We don't independently control HighLevel's own systems; their role and their own privacy practices are described in HighLevel's Privacy Policy.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
International transfers
HighLevel is based in the United States and may process information outside the UK as part of providing our booking forms, under safeguards including the UK extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (see their privacy policy linked above for detail).
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry information for as long as it's useful to follow up with you about that enquiry, and no longer than necessary once it's clear no booking will follow. Where your enquiry becomes a confirmed booking, we keep the related records for as long as normal UK accounting and tax rules require — generally up to six years after the end of the relevant tax year.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information, in some circumstances
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information, in some circumstances
- Object to us using your information for certain purposes
- Withdraw any consent you've given us, at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
Cookies
Details of the cookies and similar storage used on this site are in our Cookie Policy.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, and our booking-form provider does the same for information submitted through our enquiry forms. No method of storing or transmitting information online can be guaranteed completely secure.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the way we collect or use information changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do.
